The DEQ comment period for this proposed renewal of an Air Quality Permit ends April 30, 2007. The facility is located in Portland, Oregon and manufactures railroad cars and marine barges. The facility has four baghouses on site. Key emissions of VOCs from surface coating will be reduced from 641 to 460 tons per year. However, nitrogen oxides will be increased 35 tons per year. The proposed permit would place no limit on carbon dioxide, a key global greenhouse gas.
